There is a wide range of issues today which present spiritual and moral dilemmas for a minister, unthought of a generation or two ago. People may aggressively pursue some issues. They are surely more than "the person in the street" would be aware of. Including, for example, issues surrounding the sacraments, or sexuality, or Church and state. In my ministr(ies), we have sought to anticipate such issues, and take a decision on them. Then, if the minister is confronted with them, he is not standing alone, but is acting with the Body. That is what Congregationalism is anyway (to put it too simply).
