I recently blogged about a chaotic Church Meeting I attended. Unfortunately, since then, two Presbyterian ministers jumped on the bandwagon, without being in command of the facts. I consulted respected city attorneys, to lay out the facts -- which they did with great care, over five pages, and delivered to the Church by hand, for the Church Meeting: "Kindly place this letter before the next Church Meeting." I consulted attorneys because it is important that this should not come from me
personally, but be laid out impartially. The Presbyterians will receive it, too, in due course.
POSTSCRIPT: It is an illustration of how things ought or ought not to be done. Neither of the two ministers above consulted with me. No matter how sure a situation seems when heard from one side, listen to the other side. It is not only for fairness' sake, but for one's own safety's sake.
