This one's a philosophical post. An argument of my metaphysic (total philosophy) that has raised eyebrows is this: the fact-value distinction is rooted in the things-relations distinction, and the things-relations distinction is rooted in the variables-operators distinction -- which is mathematics. Mathematical thinking therefore lies at the root of the fact-value problem. OBSERVATION: Here is how the fact-value distinction relates to the things-relations distinction: things are related thus and thus (fact), or they ought to be related thus and thus (value). But relations in particular are odd. What are they? Substances? Attributes?I seek to answer this (I offer an answer) in my metaphysic.
