Visitation Reputation

I have had a good reputation with visitation -- yet my reputation suffered two "reputational challenges". In my first major ministry, a member stood up in a Church Meeting, and accused me of never visiting. She was the most visited member in Church! She had received visits monthly. In my second major ministry, I had agreed with the Church Meeting that I would focus my visitation in coming months on the sick and shut in. A Church consultant, who had not been at the Meeting, asked members to put up their hands if I had visited them recently. There were just few -- yet I had visited many! OBSERVATION: In Congregationalism, visitation is (in principle) a ministry by all.
