I have often heard it said: "Most of our Church's money is poured into staff. We do little for missions." There is some truth in this, and a Church
should have a strong missions focus. At the same time, a Church's best missionaries may be its staff -- in particular, the minister. In a thriving Church, stipends or salaries will not just be about internal
maintenance. They may have an enormous impact for God's kingdom. Often,
too, people who are converted through the work of those salaries
relocate into all the world -- as missionaries, one could say.
OBSERVATION: Here is an example of a Church I know: light blue represents staff stipends and salaries, while orange represents missions.
