I continually ask myself: "Is it worth your time?" There are two parts to that. The "it" may not be intrinsically worth it, and the "your" is about personal priorities. It is too easy to be drawn into things which are not in line with one's goal or calling (assuming one knows one's goal or calling in the first place). OBSERVATION: But one has to break out of that from time to time -- one might find something beyond one's interests which is worth one's time. Academically, for example, I occasionally chose against subjects, then took one.
