China, today (their yesterday), has some reason to boast. The BBC reports: Coronavirus: President Xi visits Wuhan to signal control of outbreak. Just 19 new cases were reported in China yesterday. It could all go very wrong of course, but there is reason to be optimistic. This, it seems to me, is so like ministry -- in particular, when a minister takes on an ailing or struggling Church. There may well be a period of massive criticism, panic, objection, doubt, and more -- and a period of time where it just gets worse anyway. Until the dawn. That dawn comes if (but only if) the correct policies are put in place and followed with resolve, and if one puts one's trust in God and has His blessing. OBSERVATION: I have personally experienced this in ministry, and so have many more. The title of this post is David Livingstone's description of his own ministry.
