This is a secluded bay on Cape Town's affluent Atlantic coast. It is where I first tested my recent magnetometer. The test was a complete failure, and I could not imagine why. When I left the beach, my magnetometer worked. When I stepped back onto the beach, it failed. It turned out that the waters of the bay were magnetic, and were overwhelming my magnetometer's sensors. OBSERVATION: But that, too, has its uses.
