Vanishing Villains

I keep a list of matters which need closure, where I have had trouble with people or organisations -- but significant trouble -- through corruption, fraud, or slander, and so on. Sometimes I may check on the status of a matter several months later, even a year or two. There is a verse in the Bible, 

"In just a little while, the wicked will be no more; though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there" (Psalm 37:10 ESV).

There is a very strange thing. Such people vanish. This morning I checked on the status of a matter with a Head of Department. He is gone, he is nowhere to be found, and nobody is talking. OBSERVATION: Not always do such people vanish. Some endure. However, if I go on my own experience, I'd be very afraid to be one of "the wicked". Even a Top Dog may vanish in an instant. I don't think this happens, generally  speaking, with good people.
