My father was the last Chief Missionary of the Central Pacific. Recently, in digitising his slides, there have been various challenges. Here is one of them. The protective foam plastic inside a carry case had almost completely disintegrated.
OBSERVATION: This is a mix of Kodak and Agfa slides. Notice that Agfa slides are twice as thick as Kodak. I had to modify my Kodak digitiser for that.
