Under my ministr(ies), every month-and-a-half or so a Church member led the service, though without preaching the sermon. At intervals, I would run through the membership list with our office secretary, to select a few people. It was tempting to stay with the current list, but I always sought out someone new to add. Who would seem suitable -- given a training run? (I always put newcomers through their paces in the pulpit). OBSERVATION: We were never disappointed. All who led the service did it well. There once was a proposal that we should do this once a month, rather than once every month-and-a-half, but this was not passed.
