Nothing in Hand

At the close of my city ministry, various people in my world committed serious offences. I was at a disadvantage. I was not in a position to prove critical facts. I was faced then with the decision to demand justice on the basis of ... sometimes nothing, or to quit. There have been other ministers who have been faced with this same dilemma. I chose to demand justice. There are various things I could say about that, but here is one.  My distress in various situations thereafter led to unforced errors on the other side, and revealed a great deal. In the case of my previous post, I discovered critical facts through mistakes people made, when it seemed case closed. OBSERVATION: It is not only for my own good that I did this, but for the good of the Church, and in the interests of liberty. And always, one should be ready for peace. The demand for justice goes hand in hand with compassion.
