Mini Review: MT8208
Being an electronics designer (sometimes), and having used the new MT8208 which the Chinese modestly call a "graphical multimeter", here are my impressions. They have done something revolutionary, by putting all this into a $50.00 instrument. It has a wide range of abilities: V, A, Ω, F, Hz, and a 1 MHz digital storage oscilloscope. I like the way one can (almost) operate it with one hand. Battery life is good. F does not go low enough for me. The oscilloscope trace degrades beyond about 300 kHz. It tends to load sensitive circuits. It could do with a card insert. And where is the vertical control? What it has actually helped me to do is fantastic.
