My elderly doctor asked me when life begins. I said it is a question in theology, but not in ministry. In ministry, one deals with what comes after. He said that, when a woman inquires about abortion, he tells her two stories, both of them true: first, a story of the grandmother who holds her grandchild in her arms; second, a story about a child who supports the whole family one day. Both at first unwanted. OBSERVATION: He said he doesn't take a moral stance -- yet the stories made it clear what he thinks.
