Helping Students
I started the day briefly testing an electronic design -- then went over a student's early work on an academic thesis. I generally help people in developing nations -- for the love of it. This is so interesting. There are real problems in developing nations -- to do with tradition, situation, belief, and so on -- many of them unheard of. Western work by comparison seems abstract, often tired. Also, my work with students in developing nations matters more -- I can make more of a difference to their work. OBSERVATION: Again, I make no corrections to students' work, but tell them what they need to work on. It is interesting how students respond, and the promise they reveal.
