Literary agents typically ask one what is new and unique about one's work. This is a run-down of my philosophical opus:
• Probably the first panoramic metaphysic of our postmodern era.
• It avoids the central idea—Schopenhauer’s ‘simple idea’, which is characteristic of most if not all older philosophies.
• Unlike previous metaphysics, it seeks to unify and to reconcile, not to overturn or diminish previous philosophers.
• It presents a new and comrehensive theory of language.
• It details how culture and behavior is transmitted through language.
• It incorporates—or reincorporates—ethics in metaphysics, and provides a new and universal basis for ethics.
• It provides a philosophical basis for environmental ethics, which has been so desperately lacking in our time.
• It represents a unification of Eastern and Western philosophy.
• It repositions science and mathematics in our total conceptual scheme, thereby elevating the human sciences.
• It offers a new scientific method, applied now in open systems, not closed. Introduces a new theory of falsification called invalidation.
• It proposes a new understanding of cause and effect, or causality.
• It proposes new solutions to the problems of free will and history.
• It outlines the basis for a reconciliation of philosophy and religion.
• It shifts the line between general revelation and special revelation.
• Gently, logically, persuasively, entertainingly, it offers comfort.
