A New Theory of Language

I have a piece of popular philosophy published this morning, in which I propose (click here) A New Theory of Language. I have written several essays on language, without presenting a complete theory. Friends encouraged me to do so. It reverses a cluster of theories we call structural linguistics, which is the dominant view today. OBSERVATION: I use the broad definition of structural linguistics: "Any approach to the analysis of language that pays explicit attention to the way in which linguistic features can be described in terms of structures and systems" (David Crystal).
