Not Merely for One's Own Sake

This was an awful tragedy. A mother allegedly found her daughter dead in a hospital waiting room. She is taking on the system, she says, not only for her own sake, but others': "Dube said that she wanted a proper explanation for what's happened to her daughter, not only for herself but also to prevent other families from going through the same trauma in future." OBSERVATION: This is a big reason why I myself take on authorities. It is not merely for my own sake, but others'. All the more so as I find myself in a position where I can do this more effectively than many others.

POSTSCRIPT: I should add that it is also for the good of the authorities themselves. One is not merely challenging them, but seeking to minister to them.
