Something I have learnt from my wife’s (African) culture is that one doesn’t need to articulate either thoughts or feelings. One can say things without words. Most things, perhaps. It is an aspect of her culture that has undoubtedly rubbed off on me. She is on the left. OBSERVATION: I would think that this is related to the static cultures of Africa -- which are looking like a better and better idea in postmodernity. She is on the left.
