Old and New Comparison

Yesterday I compared my old (current) book with a new book that I saw. But I erred with the data -- so I deleted the post. Today I put my old book and my new book through computer analysis (again). I completed my old book on 29 December. I saw my new book on 1 January. This is how things changed in those three days:

Readability: 9.20 to 4.48 (changed 105%)
Strength of style: 0.25 to 0.61 (changed 144%)
Descriptive index: 0.79 to 0.81 (changed 2%)
Jargon: 0.23 to 0.00 (changed incalculably)

OBSERVATION: The subject matter is basically the same, but the change in style is enormous. When I say that I "saw" a new book, that is just what happened. The change is just as great whether I take the old book's full manuscript or its synopsis. Incidentally, when a readability figure drops, that is an improvement. I hope this post makes sense -- because it describes something strange.
