Fish Poisoning

I lived in the Pacific before any signifcant growth of Western influence. As Western influence increased, so fish poisoning became a leading cause of death. I learnt that this was because traditional knowledge of fish was lost. But I learnt today that there is a big problem besides. The digging of channels through reefs changed the toxicity of fish, so that traditional knowledge was overtaken.
