Editorial End

My editorships in the UK came to a sudden end. I was discussing a submission with my co-editor Dr. Martin Cohen (a bestselling author), when it seemed to me that he didn’t know what he ought to know—if his resumé was true. I requested some checks, and they turned up false credentials. All in all, the end of the partnership. I feel it is necessary for me to state some things about this. I have been tackily maligned, and have come under threat, where the real issue is something quite substantial. Various universities provided me with the following details:

• Dr. Cohen claims to have a PhD Philosophy from Exeter University. This is misleading. Exeter state that this is a PhD from their School of Education, on the educational value of I.T. in junior school classrooms.

• He claims to be a Research Fellow in the Department of Philosophy, Huddersfield University. This is false. Huddersfield point out that they have no Department of Philosophy.

• He claims to be a Visiting Research Fellow in Philosophy, Hertfordshire University. This is misleading. Herfordshire state that he held this position from 2017-2019, but "did not meet the prevailing norms of professional academia".

• Further claims, e.g. College Professor, were unverifiable until now.

False credentials, in one verified account, were presented with an offer of services (see the image). OBSERVATION: The image here represents a selection of the full page (see the URL at the top). I have a copy of the original page if required. Unfortunately, it was required of me to report these findings, as academic integrity is taken quite seriously.

CORRECTION: Exeter University inform me that PhD Philosophy is not misleading, but false. Dr. Cohen has a PhD Education. Also, the Hertfordshire claim is not misleading, but false. Dr. Cohen lists it on his author page as "current".
