New Radio

A radio failed, which I used for electronic design. A radio's short wave bands in particular are useful to listen to what oscillators are doing. I went to the local u$ave store and bought a new one for R100, or $5.60. But it was dead. I returned it, and bought one at a spaza across the street for R150. This had five bands marked on the front, but the band-switch had only four positions! Anyway, it worked, and enables me to "see" inside circuits. OBSERVATION: One can use an oscilloscope for this -- which I have -- but that is more abstract than a radio tone.
