If there were a way one could improve Church Fête results 59% over two years, would you try it? This post of 11 November 2011 somehow got shelved -- but here it is after years on the shelf. This is how we did it:"This year, our Church Fête saw a one-fifth improvement over last year. Last year, it saw a one-third improvement over the previous year. Over two years, we have had a massive 59% increase in profits -- yet this was achieved with little additional effort. How did we do it? We increased the variety of stalls. The photo shows our Book Stall.
POSTSCRIPT: The character of the suburb had shifted greatly since the end of apartheid. Some of the new stalls represented a shift from "the usual" to catering to a changed society.
