Not New (Not)

I received a comment today that my metaphysics "is not new". I replied as follows: 

"There is nothing new under the sun." In some ways, everything is old. But look what others say about the book. Bestselling philosopher Mel Thompson: "An entirely new metaphysics". Ethics professor Samuel Waje Kunhiyop: "It is new." Mathematics author Geoffrey Marnell: "A unique perspective on some of the classic conundrums." There are many who join them. I confess that I am not original in saying it is new. I copied that from others."

OBSERVATION: They say a tall tree catches the wind. As soon as one's work is noticed -- work of whatever kind -- there are the detractors who did not take sufficient care to check what they say, and in some cases are malicious.
