First Refusal

I attended my old urban Church this morning. This was followed by a Church Meeting, to discuss the future of the Church. I tendered my apologies for the Meeting. Afterwards someone wrote to me about the Meeting, and I offered an "insider" insight they didn't have, although it isn't new:

"I saw a contract which could mean the sale of the Church to a businessman -- it is a first refusal -- signed without congregational permission, by the treasurer. I have it here, his secretary sent me a copy.  I showed it to a lawyer. He said no, the treasurer can't do this, anybody can stop this. I don't think so."

OBSERVATION: I keep copies of documents like this off my person and off my property. By "his secretary", I meant the businessman's secretary.

POSTSCRIPT: Here's some proof. The Church, all of it, was offered to a lessee, as a first refusal.
