Last month, there was a small riot two doors away. The police arrived. The fire brigade arrived. An old man was murdered, and his quarters burnt down. Nobody knows who murdered him—at least, nobody is talking. It was the second murder and the third death within five doors, all this year, if I am not mistaken.
OBSERVATION: The third death could probably be put down to a denial of a man's rights to a roof over his head.
