Head Coverings

Reuters reported last year that "EU companies can ban the visible wearing of religious signs, including headscarves". Here is a little known fact about South Africa -- little known because it applies in rural areas. Christian woman may not only wear a kind of reduced hijab (my wife wears one sometimes), but occasionally something similar to a chador. OBSERVATION: I would guess that these head coverings do not originate in Islam, from which we have their best known names.
