The fact that I regularly stay in our poorer townships in South Africa must be quite a rare occurrence for a White man. I know of no other White person who does so or has done so, although there are bound to be some. It is a major adaptation or adjustment: only recently did thousands of years of African and European culture meet, and the differences are both vast and detailed. Apart from this, we had separate development until fairly recently. OBSERVATION: I have a 2011 statistic here, from Armstrong and Heating: 3,200 Whites were then in mixed marriages (as I am), which is 0.005% of the population.
