A memory returned to me today, from my youth. After years of experience on ships and launches and canoes, we returned to England on a mail ship. One day the sea became rough. We went to the dining hall for breakfast -- usually full -- and the only tables which were occupied were ours and that of the ship's captain.
OBSERVATION: By then, we were fully accustomed to stormy seas -- the rest of the passengers apparently not. The photo shows the mission ship the John Williams VII.
