The Big Picture

I have often posted here about the daily ministry of counselling and helping people in the city -- yet I have said little about the big picture. I estimate that 100+ people would approach me each month for help, and about 20 people each month for counsel. In fact I kept the number of counselees down to about 20, since it was too taxing to take on more in a month -- perhaps rather, 20 was a good number to be able to counsel with enthusiasm. It was impossible to help 100+ people a month as they would have desired it. I took the approach that one should always send them away with more than they came with, even if that was not money.
