Chromebook and Linux
For half a year now, I have been using a Chromebook computer, whose operating system is Chrome. However, it will run Linux, too, in parallel. This it does very well. It will run almost anything Linux -- although with very limited customisation. This computer has one great peculiarity -- it keeps the Chrome and Linux file systems apart, although one can see them both in one place. But try to access Chrome files with Linux apps, or Linux files with Chrome apps, and the computer may suspend the Linux section. Only a restart will get the Linux section back. OBSERVATION: To avoid suspending the Linux section, one may call up Chrome files only with Chrome apps, or Linux files only with Linux apps, but one needs a disciplined mind to do that consistently.
