My father was the last Chief Missionary in the central Pacific. There were many things he did which I did not know about. Among other things, he had authority over who would travel on the mission ship, the John Williams VII. In recent years, through Facebook, I took up contact with many people in the islands. Several told me that he had saved this or that person's life by admitting them to the ship.
OBSERVATION: The photo shows my father supervising the offloading of the ship.
