Something that has changed a lot since I first was a seminary student is
etiquette. Someone said to me today that
cutlery etiquette is "out the window" now. I myself was taken to task as a student if I didn't follow strict cutlery etiquette -- once for following English etiquette instead of German. Today, in many places, it matters not whether one uses cutlery at all -- it may even be hard to find any. Clothing etiquette or dress code, too, used to be very strict -- and various other forms of etiquette.
OBSERVATION: A nearby restaurant will not provide cutlery for diners, in case they steal it!
