Several times, I have encountered situations like this: in government, in the Church, in private ... I send someone an e-mail. In reply, they add a few addresses -- mix them in -- and send it round as a circular. I then click on "Reply to All". Next thing, I am in trouble -- for adding addresses -- which I didn't really add. OBSERVATION: It's an awkward situation to deal with -- a judgement call, as to what to do with this kind of thing -- and it seems more and more common. Sometimes, though, I do purposefully broaden a discussion. Broadening a discussion is one method of creating accountability, thus bringing a situation under control.
