Pension: 30-Day Ultimatum

I asked attorneys to investigate some issues and write up their findings. One of the issues: that my old city Church failed to pay me R2.3 million pension. My attorneys reported, yes: "The contents of this letter [a letter of "the members" of 10 November 2024] suggest that our client [me] had only one pension fund." But there were two. Here are the facts as the attorneys set them out:

"Although this is partially correct, as our client had only one pension fund at a specific time, it is incorrect in that our client is, upon his retirement, entitled to two (2) pension pay-outs from two (2) separate pension funds/accounts. ... Accordingly, we request that payment of the balance, in the amount of R 2 315 909.09, (Two Million Three Hundred and Fifteen Thousand Nine-Hundred and Nine Rand and Nine Cents), indicated by “Inflation Adjustment Calculator”, be made to our client within 30 (thirty) calendar days from receipt hereof ..." (and so on).

OBSERVATION: This is an impartial, independent investigation. In short, the attorneys found that the Church now owes me in excess of R2.3 million. They request that this be paid within 30 days. The fund that the Church refers to is a SARAF pension, 2002-2013. But this does not account for 1994-2002, which is a Church pension, before the SARAF pension. Where is it? The image shows the start date of the SARAF pension: 2002. As I write this, I hope that it will be instructive to others -- which is, of some help to them in their careers.
