Describing Ministry

Someone asked me once to describe what shapes my ministry -- how it looks in practice. I once described it as follows:
• We seek to serve the Bible “neat” (as in “neat” whisky), and to take it as our basis.
• We seek to have a priesthood of believers, where all are fully entrusted with ministry.
• We are governed by the members -- a direct democracy under Christ.
• We seek to be a complete family, holding together all differences, whether age, culture, status, even language or denomination. And ...
• We are not into branding, targeting, strategising, and so on, but seek an organic development through the Spirit.
OBSERVATION: The rest springs from the above. Each of these points has been opposed at some stage of my ministr(ies) -- but together, as a "platform", they have made for thriving Churches.
