Punctuality

My late wife Mirjam and I met in this Swiss city, and studied on its outskirts. We were in South Africa when Mirjam finally needed to hand in her Master's dissertation -- and she left it till the last minute. When we got to the post office counter, the clerk said it was closing time, so he would set it aside and stamp it in the morning. The dissertation arrived in Switzerland with the morning-after stamp on it. They disqualified Mirjam from her Master's for posting it late. However, she had a receipt which proved she had dropped it off the afternoon before. In time, she was reinstated.
