This was the time to revive a very nice computer I had stashed away: the Acer Aspire One, which went into production more than ten years ago. The biggest problem, though, was the Internet. That is not the same as it was ten years ago. But it was easy to replace the operating system and bring it all up to date, just that my first attempt used a system too big for the machine. It took me an hour-and-a-half in all. With a stripped Puppy Linux, I can add some select programs, and I seem to be back in the present.
