Open Access Constitutions

An e-mail I received a few days ago (elsewhere on this blog), on the surface of it would suggest that I will not be receiving the Church constitution I requested -- even though I am formally attached to the Church in question. I hope that someone proves me wrong -- I'll make it known if they do. The standard practice in Churches, in my experience, is that they make their constitutions available not only to members, office-bearers, and staff, but to the public, too. My old Church in the Eastern Cape (pictured above) is one example, where one finds the constitution here: Church Constitution. There are various reasons why Churches pursue such openness.
