Preaching On Tithing

Many Churches preach on tithing, at least once a year (often the minister steps aside for someone else to peach it). But does it work? Or perhaps one should ask, does it really renew people's hearts for giving? The answer, from my own experience, is yes. The same applies where it is not a sermon, but something of the sort. While I do not have the records in front of me now, my own experience shows that such preaching can easily boost giving by 10%, and in some cases 25%. OBSERVATION: When this has happened, I myself have warmly thanked congregations.
