Recovery and Contrary Forces

In recent posts, I described a Church's recovery, and described what lay behind that recovery ... yet indicated that it isn't all recovery, when one is recovering. There are contrary forces. Here are the top three that I have experienced:
• As the Church recovers, it may still be going backwards. Properties declining, monies dwindling, and so on. One may need some jump-starts: a mortgage, cut-backs, etc.
• There may be, not only negativism in a time of recovery, but opposition. One can encourage the discouraged, but at some point, one needs to confront opposition.
• There may be slow or reluctant compliance. One has passed resolutions for recovery, yet people are not implementing them. This is difficult, and requires persistence.
