Refusal of Information

At the end of last year, I put a request to a Church denomination to disclose certain information -- I won't go into the information itself here. In terms of the (for short) Information Act, they refused this without reason. They also refused an appeal without reason. It is one thing to refuse to disclose information, another to do so without reason. In South Africa, such behaviour is in fact unlawful. Here is the Plain Language version of the Act.
