Different Attitudes and Ideas

Thinking on my previous post, my mother grew up under Axis powers, and my father under Allied powers. Their experience, from day to day, over many years, had been very different indeed. I always felt that this gave me a great advantage where it came to critical thinking. In my own home, I was exposed to very different attitudes and ideas. I was also exposed to very different cultures -- Continental and British -- both of which I came to love.
