Diodic Divider

I am delighted to see that Silicon Chip magazine in Australia has announced the publication of a new design by me (highlighted, in the image). While it is called a "LED-based motion sensor", the title is deceptive. It introduces the "diodic divider" -- apparently a significant innovation in electronics. This divider makes it possible (among other things) to easily create potential dividers into the Gigohms range -- and thereby to use LEDs to sense motion.
