Moana Raoi

I mentioned, yesterday, that I travelled in the ship the Moana Raoi, as a boy. I found the Moana Raoi again, purely by chance, in 1994 (pictured). Apparently this ship was involved in Operation Grapple -- a series of British nuclear weapons tests. Locals told me that the British were secretive with their data. In a series of American tests, Operation Crossroads, all the ships involved, as I remember, were more or less contaminated by nuclear fallout. Many were sunk. Some continued in service, in spite of being contaminated.
