Congregational worship is (almost) always about personal spiritual input by members of the congregation. Here's an example. We had a “new look” Church choir one Sunday, with new outfits, and a brand new song, titled “Through my tears I can see”. I asked a choir member to introduce the song, spiritually. The title, she said to the Church, was a reference to repentance and faith. This raised the song to another level. OBSERVATION: Whenever a choir sings -- in fact with various kinds of input on a Sunday which are not original (which originate elsewhere) -- I invite members to introduce things with a few devotional words. This is not always easy to arrange, but holds various spiritual benefits for the Church.
