Entertainment Allowance
For much of my ministry, I have been granted an "entertainment allowance". These are expenses incurred when "entertaining" people. In most cases, this has been a Saturday visit to a hotel or café, in most cases to meet with newcomers to the Church. Such outings have generally left a lasting impression on people, and have been very valuable to the Church. For some, it seems to be a great privilege to meet with the minister. OBSERVATION: I am reminded of a newcomer to the Church, a refugee. We went for breakfast. He was puzzled by everything he saw on the table. But that cemented a friendship which lasted, and he became a faithful member.
