On 10 February 2009, I had nothing to post. I simply recorded what I had done that morning. I shelved the post -- but here it is now. It is fairly typical of an urban Church:
"The morning began with preparation for engagements later in the day. My first meeting was at the Church, with a tearful young woman wearing a baseball cap, who wanted out of her way of life; then I met with an ardent evangelist in a suit, who wanted to use our premises; then a deeply depressed woman, ashen-faced, who wanted to know a way forward; then a woman evangelist, dressed in a black clerical shirt, who requested support; and finally I went to see a woman close to death with cancer and unable to speak, although she tried. I returned to the Church, spoke briefly with several people, and made a few telephone calls -- then it was time for lunch."
