Keep Going

I have had an unwritten policy in ministry: keep Church groups going through thick and thin -- particularly the "basic" ones, such as Bible study, Youth ministry, Women's Association. So for instance, we kept a Youth group going with only one youngster, and our Sunday School (Children's Church) with only one child. But also, God called very special people at the time, who had not the slightest concern about numbers. OBSERVATION: I now have the benefit of hindsight. It is the right way to go. With our children and youth in particular, our Church was seeing a downward trend that several Churches were seeing at the time. Several Churches closed their Youth groups and Sunday Schools. Our Youth rebounded to become one of the top two in the area, and our Sunday School, though small, became well established, and "made" the Church.
